Grievance Redress Mechanism for the Malaysia Grouped Biomass Waste Recovery and Utilization Project

As part of our commitment to transparency, accountability, and inclusive stakeholder engagement, the project proponent has established a Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM) to ensure all stakeholders have a safe and accessible platform to raise concerns, complaints, or feedback regarding the Malaysia Grouped Biomass Waste Recovery and Utilization Project.
📢 How to Submit a Grievance
Stakeholders may submit grievances through the following channels:

📮 Physical Drop Boxes: Available at the Project site and community centers
All grievances will be formally recorded and acknowledged by the Community Liaison Officer (CLO).
🛠️ Grievance Handling Process
Acknowledgement: Every complaint will be formally acknowledged upon receipt.
Assessment & Categorization: The CLO will conduct a preliminary assessment to determine the nature and urgency of the grievance.
Investigation: A detailed and impartial investigation will follow, with strict confidentiality to protect the privacy of stakeholders.
Resolution Discussions:Affected parties may be invited to participate in resolution discussions, including mediation where needed. Mediators may include:
Community-elected leaders
Malaysian Mediation Centre
Trusted local NGOs with mediation experience
Corrective Action Plan: A resolution plan will be shared with the complainant for feedback and approval before implementation.
Follow-Up: A post-resolution review will be conducted to ensure the grievance was fully and fairly resolved.
