Your Voice Counts
Every insight, question, or concern raised during the consultation helps ensure the project reflects the real needs and expectations of the local community. Through this stakeholder engagement, we aim to protect local rights, uphold social and environmental safeguards, and community-centered outcomes. At its core, this project prevents methane emissions by recovering biomass such as Empty Fruit Bunches (EFB), Palm Kernel Shells (PKS), and woodchips converting them into renewable energy that offsets fossil fuel use. Developed under Verra’s ACM0006 and AMS-III.E methodologies, VCS Project 5542 delivers tangible climate benefits, supports industrial decarbonization, and contributes verified carbon credits to the Malaysia and global carbon market.
